A safe way to keep our sanity and "compete" outside while still doing our part to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
Each week we pick one Strava segment, and you have all week to get outside and give it your best shot.
Results will be posted here, so you can see how you did against everyone else in your class.
Sign up here, upload your ride to Strava, and check your results.
Sign up is super-easy:
Results update automatically throughout the week. Unlike Strava, the results will show only those participating riders and will be listed by class. Each route will be open for one week and can be ridden at any time during that week. Not happy with your performance the first time around or had to deal with a mechanical? No problem, you can ride the route as many times as you’d like and your fastest time will be taken. At the end of the series, an overall winner for all categories will be announced.
We can adjust to the times and still get out there and do what we love! Sign up today and remember, be responsible and use common sense during these trying times.
Yes, you need to upload your ride by the end of the week.
No, you can sign up after uploading your ride.
About a minute after you upload your ride to Strava.
It is free and easy. Go to strava.com to set up an account. Then come back here and click the big Connect with Strava button.
If it’s not on Strava, it didn’t happen!

We will use your Strava data to show your results. Nice and simple.
We start with a classic, one that you usually ride every week anyway :)
Note that we start on Seaman's Gulch, and end at the top of the last climb, removing most of the potential traffic along Hill and Bogus Basin.
We honor the Bob's Spring Breakout races that would have happened this week.
Note the start location on Eagle Rd just south of King Rd (so you don't have to ride half the course before the start), and the finish on King Rd at Good Day (so you have time to slow down when you might be cross-eyed).
A Boise classic. With the milder weather and lack of traffic, we head up the mountain sooner than expected. Make sure you know where the finish line is :)
Another classic route, this time full of rollers. No sustained climbs here, put plenty of punchy efforts. Take note of the start/finish, and pay close attention to the turnaround point (just before the road changes to dirt). As always, be safe, as you may be carrying some speed through the turns, especially on the way back.
We have a treat for weeks 5 and 6 of the Boise Social Distancing Series. At a time when many businesses are scraping by trying to figure out how to keep their doors open, Bob’s Bicycles is generously sponsoring a socially distanced stage race with a $1,000 prize purse of store credit.
As always, be sure to study where the start/finish is for each stage.

We'll try something a bit different this week. 3 climbs, points awarded for each stage, overall placing based on points. Ride all at once, or one per day, however you want to do it. We automatically take only your fastest time during the week.
